Since 2003, ICS and President Clint Brown have been the preferred choice when constructing highly sensitive BSL-3 and 4 facilities using Arcoplast wall and ceiling systems. Between their extensive experience in working with Arcoplast gel coat panels and their acquired, hands-on knowledge and skill in meeting the rigorous construction demands of these facilities makes them the contractor of choice.

Arcoplast sent a preassembled 4’ cube to have a vacuum decay test performed by Architectural Testing, Inc. The goal was to see what could be expected given an entirely sealed Arcoplast environment.

Arcoplast recently set out to determine the pressure loss possible when their fiberglass composite panels are secured using screws instead of an adhesive bond. They provided Technical Safety Services, Inc. with four 24”x24” 6mm cement core panels. A single, #12 stainless steel, pan-head, self-tapping screw was inserted into the center of each panel.

Arcoplast 6mm cement core panels have been awarded MEA approval (MEA 414-04-M) from the City of New York Department of Buildings. Manufacturers are required to have their products tested against nationally recognized standards by Department-accepted testing laboratories. MEA approval of Arcoplast products further show the commitment and high regard to the safety of occupants in facilities where it is installed.

In three separate test results recently released, Arcoplast’s line of fiberglass composite panels were subjected to grueling decontamination procedures to determine just how well they could hold up over years of repeated exposure.

In a typical construction environment, the walls and ceilings must accommodate fixtures and utilities that pass through. It is in these necessary areas where the risk for air pressure loss is the greatest. Arcoplast set out to discover just what could be expected from their fiberglass composite panels when integrated with such utilities. The test, performed by Technical Safety Services, Inc. set out to find out the pressure decay of an Arcoplast panel featuring a 12” metal duct and an electrical box. A standard panel with no perforations was used for reference.
